Day 30: April 2. Time slipping away

I awoke to see Jordan smiling from the upper patio, coffee cup in hand exclaiming that he had made coffee. Perfect. We had our breakfast at the house. I made banana pancakes. We had lively discussions.
Jordan and Rob had spent the night on the upper deck under the stars. After breakfast, it was time for them to head out. Rob had a work retreat, and though their visit was short, we really savored the time together.

We took a walk on the beach with the dogs and Diana and then spent some time on the upper patio with the dogs.
Kasey and Ken spent time in the pool discussing how to save the world. I made that up. I don't recall what they were talking about.
We had a few zoom meetings and I apparently missed the conservation meeting. This is spring break so maybe no one noticed. Except Diana. She noticed and let me know.

Kasey and I got on our bikes after failing to convince others to join us at pickleball. We played until almost sunset and then went to get the gang to eat pizza at Pepe's.
It was a good day.

It was one of those full, fleeting days—the kind that slips by quickly but leaves you smiling.
