Day 10- Pine City, MN - Family Time!

When you plan on a family reunion it is hard to meet the high expectations of getting together. Time goes too fast and often we miss what we hope for the most, reconnecting with people we shared so many special times together. The last two days have far exceeded my highest hopes. Janice and I have so much fun spending time with my sister, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, cousins, grandkids and my nephew.

The day started with coffee with Janice and my sister on the patio next to our motorhome. We got a text that my cousins, Pam and Diane were coming by 10am. I went to the store and got provisions for lunch. My cousins got here at 10 and stayed until 3:30. The most quality time we have had in many years. We talked and laughed at memories we have of growing up together. We talked about the challenges of providing health care for my Aunt Jo and Lynn's husband, Randy.

We played some ladderball before Diane and Pam left and then chatted with Lynn. I am so grateful that Janice is a perfect fit for my family. We love staying at my sister's and Lincoln and Tad couldn't be happier. We take walks around the small neighborhood and talked about being able to host family in Oregon and about having more time together the next time we are in Minnesota. We did a weeks worth of laundry and are prepping the motorhome for the next leg of the trip.

Tomorrow will be our last day here before continuing our journey. Both of my kids and their families will be coming to Lynn's house as will my niece Jenni and her kids and my nephew Chris. We will play lots of games and eat great food and have fun together. While I know it will be hard to say goodbye, as it always is, we will leave with many special memories and look forward to more in the near future.

Unfortunately some locals at 5 am decided to be assholes and went roaring by us making sure they disturbed our slumber. But on the plus side...
