Stuff has to get managed, namely fluids. Dishes piled up yesterday so the day started with doing dishes. When water gets used, one tank empties and another fills. One tank you have to absolutely manage is the black water, the toilet. About 3 days seems to be max and we are essentially there so we are going to limit our usage. A big group coming today, so we won't be able to accomodate them restroom wise. It is okay though they can use Lynn's bathroom in the house.
We had Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, trampoline, and the of course, the go cart was the favorite.
Tad thoroughly enjoyed the attention as Alice chased him and he chased her.
Tad and Lincoln entertained the others as well. Everytime the go cart took off, Lincoln felt the need to follow and he had to be called back often. A game of capture the flag was organized and all the kids participated.
From Kasey's side, his daughter Ashley with her 3 boys, her boyfriend Orion with his 4 kids, and his son Nick, his wife and 2 kids. From Lynn's side, Jenni and her fiance, and her 3 kids. Plus me. And Lynn's husband Randy made a brief appearance. 21 people!
Kasey and Lynn's Dad, Nils (pronounced Nelse) wasn't here to see this, nor was their mom, Joy, but it was because of them that this gathering happened. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, significant others all together to laugh, play, and eat! Food was plentiful. Kasey barbecued hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken. There was a multitude of other foods, beverage and dessert.
Later, after dark, we had a fire and cooked smores. Then it was time to say goodbye.
Tomorrow we depart Minnesota for Wisconsin.
