Unfortunately, I came down with a bad non-Covid cold and it settled into my chest which was significantly exacerbated my asthma. I got 5 hours of restless sleep, spending most of the night sitting up on the couch in order to breathe better and not waking Janice up as much because of my wheezing.
We got into Green Bay and set up at the Bay Beach Mini Golf Harvest Host site (more about that later) We found an Prevea Urgent Care not too far from where we are staying. We were so impressed with the care I received. They did an x-ray to rule out pneumonia (negative), gave me a nebulizer treatment and a prescription for Prednisone. They were really nice and chatted with us about our trip.
We got back to the motorhome in a little more than an hour. Sadly, I am still feeling punky so I stayed home while Janice went to spend the evening with her cousin Gretchen and her husband, Michael. I fed the boys and went to bed for some much needed rest.
When I woke up I could hear merriment right behind our bedroom window. The water bumper car amusement is right beside us. A family was having such a fun time. It reminded me of the time we had yesterday at my sweet sister and brother-in-law's home.
The people at Bay Beach Mini Golf couldn't be nicer or more accomodating. It is very dog friendly! 🐕 Jenny, the manager and daughter of the owner is very active with pet rescues and said Lincoln and Tad can have the whole place to play. There is a fenced area where they can run off leash.
It is very quiet and peaceful here. We are less than a mile from the Bay and there is a wonderful parkway nearby.
Janice returned around 9 and had a marvelous time with Gretchen and Michael. They had a great time talking and then they went out to eat at a favorite place of Michael's, Saint Brendan's Inn and Pub. She brought me home delicious fish and chips.
Tomorrow morning we will meet Gretchen and Michael for brunch before heading out to our next stop for more adventures with some dear friends. Happy Trails!
Sure hope you are feeling better Kasey.
