Day 12: Bahia de Conception to Juan's place 4 Point RV March 15

The tucked away camping spot near Sanispac and the Bahia de Conception (bay of conception) was windy and cold last night but we were on the east side of the peninsula and the sun came up in the morning revealing a gorgeous calm bay. Several campers had already embarked on their water adventures. Some were getting their paddle boards ready. We had promised the dogs a walk on the rudimentary road nearby that climbed slightly and provided an elevated view of the bay.

After their walk we got our bikes out and cruised the length of the bahia. It is not safe to bike on the highway so we turned back to get our selves and the motorhome ready to head south.
Getting the bikes put back on the rack is still new to us and the off and on is prone to losing some small parts. It is a top of the line bike rack but it has a few drawbacks and is a little awkward to get things back together requiring a few attempts sometimes. Once in place, it is secure though.

We weren't sure where we were headed. Our guidebooks safely in Roseburg provide no help and with large stretches of no Internet, we just had to make decisions on the fly. We had one place that we thought we could check out. We read about it in the 1992 guidebook we did have. El Junicito would be on the beach again.

Google maps was minimal and we saw that the place was south of Loredo.
The road to Loredo has some interesting corners and must have been a feat to build because it is interesting and slow to drive it. Comet took it all in stride though. She is a good traveler.
In Loredo, we walked past vendors selling scultures made of metal.
We shopped for supplies and checked the Internet for more info on the place we wanted to go. Not so good. People had reported vandalism and theft in this remote camping area. So we called Juan at 4 Point Lodging and RV in Ciudad Insurgentes and said we would be there tonight.
We stopped in town and picked up some beer for Juan. His RV spots were completely open. He has done much work since we were here last year. A small pool, outdoor bathrooms, extension of the patio, a new barbecue area, and more plants. He has done other things too but maybe I have not discovered them yet. His dog from last year has been replaced with a little cattle dog named Rusty. He gets along great with our dogs.
We have full hookups and decent Internet. Now to plan our stay. I feel a few bike rides coming in the future.
