Day 14: Relaxing and planning March 17

Comet has taken to wanting under the covers so she can snuggle. She purrs with approval when she settles in.

The dogs wanted out before daybreak so out of fairness, I let Kasey take them out so I don't have to wake up too much but it didn't work out too well. I was awake anyway. So I start the coffee and jump back into bed. It is a little cold this morning so Comet demands her spot under the covers. She is adorable.

We get up and get our coffee, take showers, and Tad proceeds to spill my coffee that should have been safely on the table.

A zoom meeting was planned for the morning and after that, we could go somewhere or not. We were trying to decide what direction and when to go for a bike ride.

The wind started to come up again we were not quite sure we wanted to face that. Just about then a couple from the Netherlands pulled in. Frans and Lea have been travelling Europe then Canada and some of the US for the past 18 months! Their motorhome was barged over to New Foundland and they collected stickers of the geographic areas and were filling in then map on the back of their motorhome.
We had a great time talking and sharing traveling stories. We decided to go get tacos at Juan's new restaurant in town. They were interested as well. We were also getting low on dog food. So Kasey and I biked into town and picked up dog food and stopped to get tacos.
Juan and Pedro were there eating their meal. He is so busy with a welding job he needs to get finished. We have not really talked much with him. I found out that his dad sold his chickens and goats that he had last year. Too bad, that was kind of fun to see them.

We took our food back to the camping spot and sat down for a meal with our new friends from The Netherlands.
We really enjoyed sharing our adventures and talking about where we are from and what we did and are doing with our lives. They are headed north after they leave here and into Arizona to visit a few of the notable National Parks. They will wind their way across the states and head toward where they started. They told their grandkids that they would be home by summer.

After our meal, Kasey brought out ice cream and they both were happy to accept the offering. The Hagen Daaz hit the spot.
We are thinking of heading toward the coast tomorrow and take the dogs for a beach walk and swim. Lincoln is slowing down and do we have to be careful that we don't overdo it.

My brother John called. We haven't talked in a while so it was good to catch up.
We have been seeing the pictures of the flooding in Roseburg. We hope all our friends and neighbors are staying safe. Tomorrow is another adventure.
